Practice as the missing ingredient
Where AN 10.125 claimed simply that the ten factors are fruitful only within this training, this discourse specifies that this fruitfulness itself depends on active practice: merely possessing right view, right action, and the rest is not what the discourse has in mind, but actually developing and cultivating them.

§1“Mendicants, these ten things when developed and cultivated are not very fruitful and beneficial apart from the Holy One’s training. What ten? Right view, right purpose, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right immersion, right knowledge, and right freedom. These are the ten things that when developed and cultivated are not very fruitful and beneficial apart from the Holy One’s training.”
