An explicit instruction, confirmed at the vagga's own close
The Pāli root text attached to SN 45.148 (Cloth from Kāsi) reads, in this project's own description rather than invented translation: “what was elaborated for the Realized One should also be elaborated here” — the single clearest confirmation in this vagga that all nine similes following SN 45.139 implicitly carry its own full fourfold structure.
A colophon this project can describe with confidence
Unlike the ambiguous numbering line closing the preceding Dutiyagaṅgāpeyyālavagga, this vagga's own closing uddāna is a straightforward list of its own ten discourse-topics in order — the Realized One, Footprint, Peak, Root, Heartwood, Jasmine; the Monarch, Moon and Sun; with Cloth as the tenth — and this project describes it accordingly, without inventing a poetic English rendering the source itself does not supply.
