The Lords of Fire, Water, Sea, River, Harvest, Herb, and Forest Speak

"Behold the Tathāgata's power of diligence, vast across a hundred million kalpas, inconceivable,
appearing in the world for the benefit of living beings, causing every dark obstruction to be extinguished entirely.
Living beings, in their ignorance, give rise to every kind of view, their afflictions flowing like a current and blazing like fire;
the Guide's skillful means extinguishes it all entirely — the Fire-Lord Universally Gathering the Light-Banner awakens to this.

Merit is like space, without end, and seeking its farther bound is impossible;
this is the Buddha's unmoving power of great compassion — the Fire-Lord of Light awakens to and enters this, his heart giving rise to joy.
I behold the Tathāgata's own conduct, passing through an ocean of kalpas without any bound;
such is the power of spiritual transmutation he manifests — the Fire-Lord of Every Wondrous Palace has fully understood this.

Accomplished across a hundred million kalpas, inconceivable, seeking its farther bound none is able to know it,
expounding the true mark of the Dharma to bring joy — the Fire-Lord of Inexhaustible Light beholds this.
Every vast assembly of the ten directions gazes up at the Buddha, present before them entirely,
his tranquil light illumining the world — this the Fire-Lord of Wondrous Flame is able to fully understand.

The Sage appears throughout every world, sitting within every palace,
raining down the boundless, vast Dharma universally — this is the domain of the Fire-Lord of the Ten Directions.
Every buddha's wisdom is most profound, sovereign with respect to the Dharma, appearing in the world,
able to reveal the true principle entirely — the Fire-Lord of Majestic Light awakens to this, his heart rejoicing.

Every view born of ignorance forms a dark covering, and living beings, confused, forever turn and flow in transmigration;
the Buddha opens wide the wondrous Dharma-gateway for their sake — this the Fire-Lord Illumining Every Direction is able to awaken to and enter.
The gateway of his vow is vast and inconceivable, the pāramitā of strength cultivated and already purified;
just as his vow-mind was in the past, so it now appears entirely — this the Fire-Lord of the Roaring Thunder-Voice has fully understood."

"As numerous as the fine motes of dust in every land, the gateways of pure loving-kindness together give rise to a single, wondrous mark of the Tathāgata;
each and every mark is exactly so, and thus those who behold it are never satiated.
The World-Honored One, in the time of his practice in ages past, went universally to the place of every Tathāgata,
cultivating every kind of practice without ever growing weary — such skillful means the Water-Lord of the Ocean-Tide's Cloud-Voice has entered.

The Buddha, within all the ten directions, remains tranquil and unmoving, neither coming nor going,
and yet causes every being ready to be transformed to behold him — this the Water-Lord of the Wheel-Topknot knows.
The Tathāgata's domain is without any bound, and not one living being is able to fathom it,
his wondrous voice proclaiming it throughout the ten directions — this is the domain the Water-Lord of Skillful Whirling walks.

The World-Honored One's light is without end, filling the Dharma-realm inconceivably,
teaching the Dharma to transform and liberate living beings — this the Water-Lord Free of Defilement and Fragrant beholds.
The Tathāgata's purity is equal to empty space, without mark, without form, pervading the ten directions,
and yet causing every assembly to behold him without exception — this the Water-Lord of the Bridge of Blessing skillfully contemplates.

The Buddha, in ages past, cultivated the gateway of great compassion, his mind vast and pervading, equal to living beings themselves;
and so he appears in the world like a cloud — this liberation gateway the Water-Lord of Contentment has fully understood.
Every land of the ten directions beholds the Tathāgata seated upon his throne,
radiantly awakening to great bodhi — thus has the Water-Lord of the Wholesome Voice of Joy entered this.

The Tathāgata's conduct is without any obstruction, going universally to every land of the ten directions,
manifesting great spiritual transmutation in every place — the Water-Lord Universally Manifesting Majestic Light has already awakened to this.
Cultivating boundless, skillful conduct, filling entirely the realm of living beings,
his wondrous use of spiritual transmutation never pausing for an instant — the Water-Lord of the Roaring Voice Pervading the Sea is able to enter this."

"Inconceivable, a great ocean of kalpas, making offerings to every Tathāgata, universally bestowing the fruits of merit upon the multitude —
and so his adornment is the most peerless of all. He appears throughout every world, and there is no living being's capacity or desire that he fails to know,
universally proclaiming the great ocean of the Dharma — this the Sea-Lord of the Firm Banner has awakened to with delight. The guide of every world, his cloud of the Dharma raining down immeasurably,
exhausting the boundless ocean of every suffering — this is the Dharma-gateway the Sea-Lord Free of Dust and Defilement has entered.

Every living being, covered by affliction, turns and flows amid every realm of rebirth, suffering every torment;
for their sake he reveals the Tathāgata's domain — the Sea-Lord of the Universal-Water Palace enters this gateway.
The Buddha, within an ocean of inconceivable kalpas, practices every practice without end,
forever severing the net of confusion in living beings — the Sea-Lord of the Jeweled Moon is able to clearly enter this.

The Buddha beholds living beings forever fearful, turning and flowing in the great ocean of birth-and-death,
and reveals to them the Tathāgata's unsurpassed path — the Sea-Lord of the Nāga Topknot awakens to this with delight.
The domain of every buddha is inconceivable, the mark of the Dharma-realm and the realm of space equal alike,
able to purify the net of confusion in living beings — thus the Sea-Lord Universally Upholding Light and Flavor is able to proclaim this.

The Buddha's eye is pure and inconceivable, surveying every domain entirely,
universally showing living beings every wondrous path — this the Sea-Lord of the Jeweled Flame's Flower-Light has awakened to in his heart.
Māra's army, vast beyond number, is entirely crushed within a single instant,
his mind unwavering, beyond measure — this is the skillful means of the Sea-Lord of the Vajra's Wondrous Topknot.

Universally, throughout the ten directions, he proclaims a wondrous voice, and that voice pervades the Dharma-realm entirely —
this is the very samādhi-domain of the Tathāgata, the very ground the Sea-Lord of the Ocean-Tide's Voice walks."

"The Tathāgata, in ages past, for the sake of living beings, cultivated the boundless conduct of the ocean of the Dharma,
just as a heavy rain cools the burning heat of summer, universally extinguishing the heat of affliction in living beings.
The Buddha, in ages past, through immeasurable kalpas hard to describe, purified the world with the light of his vow,
causing those whose faculties had ripened to awaken to the path — the River-Lord of Universal Purity has awakened to this in his heart.

His great compassion's skillful means treats every living being equally, manifesting before them all, constantly guiding and transforming them,
universally purifying the defilement of affliction — the River-Lord of the Pure Eye beholds this with deep delight.
The Buddha proclaims a wondrous voice, causing all universally to hear it, and living beings, delighted, rejoice in their hearts,
causing every immeasurable suffering to be washed away — this is the liberation of the River-Lord Roaring Everywhere.

The Buddha, in ages past, cultivated the practice of bodhi, for the benefit of living beings across immeasurable kalpas,
and so his light pervades the world — the River-Lord of Protection recollects this and rejoices.
The Buddha, in ages past, practiced for the sake of living beings, ripening them through every kind of skillful means,
universally purifying the ocean of blessing and removing every suffering — the River-Lord Free of Heat beholds this, his heart delighted.

The gateway of giving is vast and inexhaustible, benefiting every living being entirely,
causing those who behold it to be free of stinginess and attachment — this the River-Lord Universally Bringing Forth Joy has awakened to.
The Buddha, in ages past, practiced true skillful means, accomplishing the boundless ocean of merit,
causing those who behold it to be delighted without exception — this the River-Lord of the Supreme Banner has awakened to with joy.

Living beings, defiled, are all purified entirely, and every enmity and harm is met equally with loving-kindness;
and so he attains a light that fills the whole of space — the River-Lord Illumining Every World beholds this with joy.
The Buddha is the field of blessing, the ocean of merit, able to cause all to depart from every evil,
even to the accomplishment of great bodhi — this is the liberation of the River-Lord of the Ocean-Virtue's Light."

"The Tathāgata's unsurpassed ocean of merit universally manifests as a bright lamp illumining the world,
rescuing and protecting every living being, bestowing peace and joy upon all without exception.
The World-Honored One's merit is without any bound, and living beings who hear of it never do so in vain,
all caused to depart from suffering and forever rejoice — this the Harvest-Lord of the Seasonal Flower has entered.

The Well-Gone One's every power is entirely perfected, his merit's adornment manifest in the world,
taming every living being entirely — this the Harvest-Lord of Valiant Dharma is able to clearly attest.
The Buddha, in ages past, cultivated the ocean of great compassion, his mind, in every thought, equal to the world;
and so his spiritual transmutation is without any bound — the Harvest-Lord Increasing the Vital Essence is able to behold this.

The Buddha, pervading the world, is forever manifest before it, and every skillful means he employs is never wasted,
purifying every confusion and affliction of living beings entirely — this is the liberation of the Harvest-Lord Universally Bringing Forth.
The Buddha is the great ocean of wisdom in the world, emitting pure light that reaches everywhere without exception,
vast faith and understanding arising from it entirely — thus the Harvest-Lord of the Adorned, Ringed Topknot is able to clearly enter this.

The Tathāgata beholds the world and gives rise to a mind of loving-kindness, appearing for the benefit of living beings,
showing them the most excellent, tranquil path — this is the liberation of the Harvest-Lord of the Pure Flower.
The Well-Gone One's cultivated, pure conduct he fully proclaims beneath the bodhi tree,
teaching and transforming thus throughout the ten directions — this the Harvest-Lord of Wondrous Fragrance is able to listen to and receive.

The Buddha, throughout every world, causes all to depart from care and give rise to great joy,
every faculty and desire entirely purified — the Harvest-Lord Beloved by All Who See enters this.
The Tathāgata appears in the world, universally beholding what the minds of living beings delight in,
ripening them through every kind of skillful means — this is the liberation gateway of the Harvest-Lord of Light Free of Defilement."

"The Tathāgata's wisdom is inconceivable, knowing the mind of every living being entirely,
able through every kind of skillful means to extinguish the immeasurable suffering of the deluded multitude.
The Great Hero's skillfulness cannot be measured, and whatever he undertakes is never done in vain,
surely causing every suffering of living beings to be extinguished — the Herb-Lord of the Sandalwood Grove is able to awaken to this.

Behold how the Dharma of every buddha is just so, forever diligently cultivated across immeasurable kalpas,
and yet attached to nothing amid every state of existence — this is the gateway the Herb-Lord Free of Dust and Light has entered.
The Buddha is difficult to encounter even once in a hundred thousand kalpas, and if there is one who is able to see him or hear his name,
that one surely gains benefit, never in vain — this the Herb-Lord of Universal Renown has fully understood.

Within each and every pore of the Tathāgata, he emits light entirely, extinguishing every affliction,
causing the affliction of the world to be entirely exhausted — this is the gateway the Herb-Lord of Light Manifest from Every Pore has entered.
Every living being, blinded by ignorance, suffers immeasurably distinct confusion, karma, and torment;
the Buddha entirely removes it, opening the illumination of wisdom — thus the Herb-Lord Breaking Darkness is able to behold this.

The Tathāgata's single voice is without any limit, able to open the whole ocean of every Dharma-gateway,
and living beings who hear it understand it entirely — this is the liberation of the Herb-Lord of the Great Voice.
Behold how the Buddha's wisdom is inconceivable, appearing universally in every realm of rebirth to rescue the multitude,
causing those who behold it all to be transformed — this the Herb-Lord of the Banner Eclipsing the Sun has deeply awakened to and understood.

The Tathāgata's ocean of great compassion's skillful means appears for the benefit of the world,
opening wide the true path to reveal it to living beings — this the Herb-Lord Clearly Seeing Every Direction is able to thoroughly understand.
The Tathāgata universally emits great light, and there is nowhere in the ten directions it fails to illumine,
causing merit to arise through recollecting the Buddha — this is the liberation gateway of the Herb-Lord Universally Emitting Majestic Light."

"The Buddha, in ages past, cultivated the practice of bodhi, his merit and wisdom entirely brought to fulfillment,
every power fully endowed, emitting great light as he appeared in the world.
The gateway of compassion, immeasurable, equal to living beings, the Tathāgata in ages past universally purified;
and so he is able to benefit the world — this the Forest-Lord of the Rising Trunk has fully understood.

If there is any living being who beholds the Buddha even once, this surely causes them to enter the ocean of profound faith,
universally showing them every path of the Tathāgata — this is the liberation of the Forest-Lord of Sprouting Shoots.
Every merit gathered within a single hair, proclaimed across an ocean of kalpas, is never exhausted;
every buddha's skillful means is hard to conceive — the Forest-Lord of the Pure Leaf is able to make clear this profound meaning.

I recall the Tathāgata, in ages past, making offerings to buddhas as numerous as the fine motes of dust in every land,
his wisdom growing gradually brighter at the place of each and every one — this the Forest-Lord of the Treasury of Flame has fully understood.
Every living being's ocean of conduct, the World-Honored One understands entirely within a single thought;
such vast, unobstructed wisdom the Forest-Lord of Wondrous Adornment is able to awaken to and enter.

Forever proclaiming the Tathāgata's tranquil, wondrous voice, universally giving rise to unequaled, great joy,
causing all, according to their own understanding and desire, to awaken — this is the Dharma the Forest-Lord of the Thunder-Sound practices.
The Tathāgata manifests great spiritual transmutation, pervading every land of the ten directions entirely,
causing his practice in ages past to be seen by all — this is the gateway the Forest-Lord of Universal Fragrance and Light has entered.

Living beings, deceitful and cultivating no virtue, are confused and sunk, flowing amid birth-and-death;
for their sake he reveals the path of every wisdom — this the Forest-Lord of Wondrous Light beholds.
The Buddha, for the sake of living beings bound by karmic obstruction, appears only once in a hundred million kalpas,
and yet in every other thought he is forever made visible — this the Forest-Lord of Light and Flavor contemplates."
