Ten Thousand Gates, and a Trembling Universe
Immovable's own demonstration answers her earlier question in full — ten thousand samādhi-gates entered at once, worlds beyond counting trembling in six ways, and each of those worlds already filled with a hundred million tathāgatas turning the wheel of dharma.
Ten Thousand Samādhi-Gates at Once
Immovable's own throne is described only in passing — the true demonstration is the sheer number of samādhi-gates she enters simultaneously, and the scale of what happens the moment she does.
爾時，不動優婆夷坐於龍藏師子之座，入求一切法無厭足莊嚴三昧門、不空輪莊嚴三昧門、十力智輪現前三昧門、佛種無盡藏三昧門……入如是等一萬三昧門。入此三昧門時，十方各有不可說佛剎微塵數世界六種震動，皆悉清淨瑠璃所成；一一世界中，有百億四天下，百億如來或住兜率天乃至般涅槃；一一如來放光明網，周遍法界道場眾會，清淨圍遶，轉妙法輪，開悟群生。時，不動優婆夷從三昧起，告善財言：「善男子！汝見此不？」善財言：「唯！我皆已見。」
At that time, the laywoman Immovable, seated upon a lion-throne of the nāga's own treasury, entered the samādhi-gate of the adornment of seeking every dharma without ever being satiated, the samādhi-gate of the adornment of the unfailing wheel, the samādhi-gate of the wheel of the ten powers' wisdom manifesting before her, the samādhi-gate of the inexhaustible treasury of the buddha's own lineage... and so on, entering ten thousand such samādhi-gates as these. The moment she entered these samādhi-gates, in each of the ten directions, worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in unspeakable buddha-lands trembled in six ways, all of them formed entirely of pure lapis lazuli; and within each and every world there were a hundred million sets of the four continents, and a hundred million tathāgatas, some dwelling in the Tuṣita heaven, on through to entering final nirvāṇa; each and every tathāgata emitted a net of light, reaching throughout every place of enlightenment and assembly in the dharma-realm, purely surrounded on every side, turning the wondrous wheel of dharma, and awakening every kind of being. At that time, the laywoman Immovable rose from her samādhi, and said to Good-Wealth: "Good son, did you see this?" Good-Wealth said: "Yes! I have seen it all."
汝見此不？」善財言：「唯！我皆已見。」— "did you see this?" Good-Wealth said: "Yes! I have seen it all." The exchange closes the demonstration with the same plain courtesy that opened it — a question, and a direct answer — bookending a vision of trembling worlds and a hundred million tathāgatas with two of the shortest, most ordinary lines of dialogue in this entire pilgrimage.
