Ten Oceans, and a Twenty-Fourth Teacher
Vaira's own ship has never once been damaged in all its crossings — and his closing confession turns the sea itself into ten distinct images for the bodhisattva path, before Good-Wealth, in tears, is sent onward to a twenty-fourth teacher in the city of Delightful.
A Ship Never Once Damaged
Vaira's own practical record backs up everything he has claimed — a ship that carries merchants to treasure and home again without ever suffering harm, and a presence so effective that merely seeing or hearing him is never wasted on anyone.
「善男子！我以好船運諸商眾行安隱道，復為說法令其歡喜，引至寶洲與諸珍寶咸使充足，然後將領還閻浮提。善男子！我將大船如是往來，未始令其一有損壞。若有眾生得見我身、聞我法者，令其永不怖生死海，必得入於一切智海，必能消竭諸愛欲海，能以智光照三世海，能盡一切眾生苦海，能淨一切眾生心海，速能嚴淨一切剎海，普能往詣十方大海，普知一切眾生根海，普了一切眾生行海，普順一切眾生心海。
"Good son, I use a good ship to carry the merchants along a safe and secure route, and further teach them the dharma to bring them joy, leading them to the treasure-isle and causing all of them to be fully satisfied with every kind of treasure, and afterward leading them safely back to Jambudvīpa. Good son, I have piloted my great ship back and forth in this way, and never once has it suffered any damage. If any being is able to see my body or hear my dharma, I cause them to forever lose their fear of the ocean of birth and death, cause them to certainly enter the ocean of all-knowing wisdom, cause them to certainly exhaust the ocean of every craving and desire, enable them with the light of wisdom to illuminate the ocean of the three times, enable them to exhaust the ocean of every being's own suffering, enable them to purify the ocean of every being's own mind, swiftly enable them to adorn and purify the ocean of every land, universally enable them to travel to the great ocean of the ten directions, universally cause them to know the ocean of every being's own faculties, universally cause them to understand the ocean of every being's own conduct, and universally cause them to accord with the ocean of every being's own mind.
Ten Oceans for the Bodhisattva, and a Tearful Departure
Vaira's own confession closes with ten further ocean-images for the great bodhisattvas, before naming a twenty-fourth teacher — and this time, Good-Wealth's own farewell is marked by tears, his hunger for good spiritual friends never once satisfied.
「善男子！我唯得此大悲幢行；若有見我及以聞我、與我同住、憶念我者，皆悉不空。如諸菩薩摩訶薩，善能遊涉生死大海，不染一切諸煩惱海，能捨一切諸妄見海，能觀一切諸法性海，能以四攝攝眾生海，已善安住一切智海，能滅一切眾生著海，能平等住一切時海，能以神通度眾生海，能以其時調眾生海；而我云何能知能說彼功德行？「善男子！於此南方，有城名：可樂；中有長者，名：無上勝。汝詣彼問：菩薩云何學菩薩行、修菩薩道？」時，善財童子頂禮其足，遶無量匝，慇懃瞻仰，悲泣流淚，求善知識心無厭足，辭退而去。
"Good son, I have attained only this practice of the Banner of Great Compassion; if any being sees me, hears me, dwells together with me, or calls me to mind, none of it is ever in vain. As for the great bodhisattva-mahāsattvas — they skillfully cross the great ocean of birth and death, remain unstained by the ocean of every affliction, are able to abandon the ocean of every false view, are able to contemplate the ocean of the nature of every dharma, are able to gather in the ocean of beings through the four means of gathering, have already securely abided in the ocean of all-knowing wisdom, are able to extinguish the ocean of every being's own attachment, are able to abide equally throughout the ocean of every time, are able to liberate the ocean of beings through spiritual powers, and are able to tame the ocean of beings at the proper time; how could I possibly know or speak of their own meritorious practice? Good son, to the south of here, there is a city named Delightful; within it there is an elder named Unsurpassed Victory. You should go to him and ask: how does a bodhisattva learn the bodhisattva practices, and cultivate the bodhisattva path?" At that time, Good-Wealth bowed his head at his feet, circumambulated him countless times, gazed up at him with deep reverence, wept and shed tears, his mind never satiated in seeking good spiritual friends, and took his leave and departed.
求善知識心無厭足 — his mind never satiated in seeking good spiritual friends. The same phrase that named one of Immovable's own liberation-gates now describes Good-Wealth himself, a small but pointed echo suggesting that the pilgrimage's own method has, by this point, become fully internalized in the pilgrim.

This continues chapter thirty-nine, 入法界品, in fascicle sixty-seven. Part 1051 follows Good-Wealth into the city of Delightful, where he finds the elder Unsurpassed Victory settling disputes for a crowd of merchants and householders before turning to teach them the dharma directly.
