Ten Attainments That Reach Every Place
The sūtra formally names what has been described across the preceding parts: the bodhisattva mahāsattva's fourth dedication, the dedication that reaches every place. Ten distinct attainments follow, each pairing a faculty — bodily, verbal, and mental karma, spiritual feet, wisdom, dhāraṇī, entry into the Dharma-realm, entry into bodies, and the seeing of every kalpa and every thought-moment — with the specific reason it, too, now reaches every place. Vajra Banner Bodhisattva then rises to speak this dedication's closing verse.
Body, Speech, Mind, and Beyond
The ten attainments move outward in a deliberate sequence — first the three karmas of body, speech, and mind, then spiritual feet, wisdom, and dhāraṇī, and finally four attainments that dissolve ordinary scale altogether: entering the Dharma-realm through a single pore, entering every living being's body through one, and seeing every Tathāgata of every kalpa and every buddha of every single thought-moment. Each attainment is explicitly named as itself "reaching every place," tying the entire list back to the dedication's own governing name.
「佛子！是為菩薩摩訶薩第四至一切處迴向。菩薩摩訶薩住此迴向時，得至一切處身業，普能應現一切世界故；得至一切處語業，於一切世界中演說法故；得至一切處意業，受持一切佛所說法故；得至一切處神足通，隨眾生心悉往應故；得至一切處隨證智，普能了達一切法故；得至一切處總持辯才，隨眾生心令歡喜故；得至一切處入法界，於一毛孔中普入一切世界故；得至一切處遍入身，於一眾生身普入一切眾生身故；得至一切處普見劫，一一劫中常見一切諸如來故；得至一切處普見念，一一念中一切諸佛悉現前故。佛子！菩薩摩訶薩得至一切處迴向，能以善根如是迴向。」
"Child of the Buddha! This is the bodhisattva mahāsattva's fourth dedication, the dedication that reaches every place. When the bodhisattva mahāsattva abides in this dedication, they attain bodily karma that reaches every place, because they are universally able to manifest in response throughout every world; they attain verbal karma that reaches every place, because they expound the Dharma throughout every world; they attain mental karma that reaches every place, because they uphold every dharma spoken by every buddha; they attain the superknowledge of spiritual feet that reaches every place, because they go in response to every living being's mind entirely; they attain the wisdom according with realization that reaches every place, because they are universally able to penetrate and understand every dharma; they attain the dhāraṇī and eloquence that reach every place, because they cause every living being's mind to rejoice according to its own nature; they attain entry into the Dharma-realm that reaches every place, because within a single pore they universally enter every world; they attain the universal entry into bodies that reaches every place, because within a single living being's body they universally enter every living being's body; they attain the universal seeing of kalpas that reaches every place, because within each and every kalpa they forever see every Tathāgata; they attain the universal seeing of thoughts that reaches every place, because within each and every thought-moment every buddha appears before them entirely. Child of the Buddha! This is the bodhisattva mahāsattva's dedication that reaches every place — they are able to dedicate their wholesome root in just this way."
爾時，金剛幢菩薩承佛威力，普觀十方而說頌言：
At that time, relying upon the Buddha's own awesome power, Vajra Banner Bodhisattva universally surveyed the ten directions and then spoke a verse, saying:
The formal closing statement — "this is the bodhisattva mahāsattva's fourth dedication" — arrives only after ten specific attainments have already demonstrated what reaching every place actually means in practice, from ordinary bodily and verbal action to entering every world through a single pore. Naming follows demonstration throughout this dedication, never the reverse.
