The Ninth and Tenth World-Seeds, Fascicle Nine Complete
Samantabhadra completes the circle: the ninth and tenth world-seeds surrounding the central one, closing out the full ring of ten that began in Part 22. Together with the central world-seed described across fascicle eight, this brings the count to eleven fully described world-seeds — every one of them, in turn, only a fragment of the fragrant water oceans they float upon, which are themselves only a fragment of the still-vaster Flower-Treasury World-Ocean.

"Buddha's children! Continuing clockwise from this Jeweled Adornment fragrant water ocean, there is next a fragrant water ocean named Vajra's Gathering of Jewels; its world-seed is named the Dharma-Realm's Conduct, taking the voice of the skillful means and dharma of every bodhisattva ground as its essence. At its very lowest is a world named Pure Light, Shining Bright; its shape is like a string of pearls, abiding resting upon an ocean of necklaces of pearls of every jeweled color, and a cloud of maṇi, the light of a bodhisattva's own pearl-topknot, covers over it. Worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land encircle it all around, purely one and entirely pure. Its buddha is named the Supreme Light of Merit. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Wondrous Canopy. Its buddha is named the Sovereign Wisdom of the Dharma. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Jeweled Lion-Throne, Adorned. Its buddha is named the Great Dragon's Deep Pool. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Appearing Vajra Throne. Its buddha is named Ascending the Lotus-Flower Dais of the Lion-Throne. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Lotus's Supreme Voice. Its buddha is named the Light of Wisdom, Universally Awakening. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Excellent Habituation. Its buddha is named the King of the Wondrous Light of Upholding the Ground. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Voice of Joy and Bliss. Its buddha is named the King of the Lamp of the Dharma. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Treasury of Maṇi, Indra's Net. Its buddha is named Beholding Never in Vain. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Every Wonder's Treasury of the Ground. Its buddha is named the Banner of a Flaming Body. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Golden Light Wheel. Its buddha is named Purely Cultivating the Conduct of Living Beings. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Adornment of Sumeru. Its buddha is named the Cloud of Every Merit, Universally Illumining. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Form of Every Tree. Its buddha is named the Awakening of the Pure Moon's Jeweled-Flower Mark. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Without Fear. Its buddha is named the Supreme Torch of Golden Light. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Banner of the Dragon King of Great Renown. Its buddha is named Contemplating Every Dharma as Equal. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Manifesting the Color of Maṇi. Its buddha is named the Sun of Transformation. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Adornment of the Lamp of Light and Flame. Its buddha is named the Jeweled Canopy's Light, Universally Illumining. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Cloud of Fragrant Light. Its buddha is named the Wisdom of Contemplation. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Without Any Enemy. Its buddha is named the Ocean of Supreme Wisdom of Diligence. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Banner of Light of Every Adorning Implement. Its buddha is named the King of Sovereign Mastery of the Delightful Lotus Flower, Universally Manifest. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Adornment of the Curling Mark; its shape is like a half-moon, abiding resting upon an ocean of Sumeru's own maṇi flower, and a cloud of the sovereign maṇi of blazing light, adorned in every kind, covers over it entirely. Worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in twenty buddha-lands encircle it all around, purely one and entirely pure. Its buddha is named the Pure Eye."

Continuing clockwise from this Vajra's Gathering of Jewels fragrant water ocean, there is next a fragrant water ocean named the Heavenly City's Jeweled Battlements; its world-seed is named the Light of the Flame of a Lamp, taking the voice of the Dharma-wheel universally revealing the equality of everything as its essence. At its very lowest is a world named the Wheel of the Jeweled Moon's Light and Flame; its shape is like every kind of adorning implement, abiding resting upon an ocean of flowers adorned by every jewel, and a cloud of a lion-throne, lapis lazuli in color, covers over it. Worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land encircle it all around, purely one and entirely pure. Its buddha is named the Sovereign Light of Sun and Moon. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Sumeru's Jeweled Light. Its buddha is named the Inexhaustible Banner of the Dharma's Jewel. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Banner of Every Wondrous Light. Its buddha is named the Great Gathering of Flowers. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Maṇi's Bright Flower. Its buddha is named the Most Sovereign Among Humankind. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Universal Voice. Its buddha is named Omniscience, Universally Illumining. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Great Tree's Kinnara Voice. Its buddha is named the Sovereign Dragon of Immeasurable Blessing and Virtue. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Boundless, Pure Light. Its buddha is named the Jeweled Flower's Light of Merit. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Supreme Voice. Its buddha is named the Adornment of Omniscience. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Every Jewel, Ornamented and Interspersed. Its buddha is named Sumeru of Jeweled Flame. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Pure Voice of Sumeru. Its buddha is named the Light of the Appearance of Every Conduct. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Canopy of Fragrant Water. Its buddha is named the Unobstructed Ocean of Every Pāramitā. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Lion's Net of Flowers. Its buddha is named the Banner of Jeweled Flame. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Vajra's Wondrous Flower-Lamp. Its buddha is named the Light of Every Great Vow. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Ground of Light of Every Dharma. Its buddha is named the Vast, True Meaning of Every Dharma. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Level Adornment of True Pearl-Dust. Its buddha is named the Net of Supreme Wisdom's Light. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Lapis Lazuli Flower. Its buddha is named the Banner of Gathered Jewels. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Immeasurable, Wondrous Light-Wheel. Its buddha is named the Treasury of the Ocean of Wisdom's Great, Majestic Power. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named Clearly Beholding the Ten Directions. Its buddha is named the Banner of Purely Cultivating Every Merit. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a buddha-land, there is a world named the Delightful, Beloved Brahmā-Voice; its shape is like the Buddha's own hand, abiding resting upon an ocean of jeweled light's net, and a cloud adorned in every kind by the bodhisattva's own body covers over it entirely. Worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in twenty buddha-lands encircle it all around, purely one and entirely pure. Its buddha is named the Unobstructed Light Universally Illumining the Dharma-Realm."
The final world-seed's lowest tier is shaped, fittingly, like the Buddha's own hand — a detail easy to miss inside the accumulated weight of two full fascicles of jewels, oceans, and buddha-names, but worth pausing on as this whole sequence closes. Across fascicles eight and nine, the sūtra has now named eleven world-seeds in full, each with twenty tiers of its own: one central, ten surrounding — the ring closing exactly where it began, back at the Boundless, Wondrous Flower-Light fragrant water ocean first named in Part 21. And every one of these eleven, the text has taken care to remind the reader more than once, is itself only one gathered mote within oceans, seeds, and world-systems whose full number was called "ineffable" before a single name was given. What has been translated here in full, at a scale no summary could honestly compress, is offered not as a complete account but as a sample honest about its own smallness.
Part 26 Complete — Fascicle Nine Complete
This closes Part 26 and fascicle nine: the second half of the sūtra's fifth chapter, "The Flower-Treasury World-System" (華藏世界品第五之二) — all ten world-seeds surrounding the central one from fascicle eight, moving east, south, and then clockwise around the full circle, each with its own fragrant water ocean, lotus, essence, and twenty tiers of worlds and buddhas. Together with fascicle eight, this completes eleven world-seeds described in full: the wind-wheels and encircling mountain that support the whole edifice, the ground and its fragrant water oceans and rivers, the central world-seed whose thirteenth tier is this very Sahā world, and the ten world-seeds that surround it. Fascicle ten continues this same chapter with the world-seeds that lie yet further beyond this ring.
