Three More Outer Rings
Samantabhadra continues describing the outer rings surrounding each of the ten world-seeds from fascicle nine — this installment covers the fifth, sixth, and seventh. The fifth ring's own listing in the Chinese source ends without the fuller, rim-nearest description the others receive; this translation preserves that as it stands in the text rather than supplying an ending the source itself does not give.
The Outer Ring of the Fifth World-Seed
「諸佛子！彼金剛輪莊嚴底香水海外，次有香水海，名：化現蓮華處；世界種，名：國土平正。次有香水海，名：摩尼光；世界種，名：遍法界無迷惑。次有香水海，名：眾妙香日摩尼；世界種，名：普現十方。次有香水海，名：恒納寶流；世界種，名：普行佛言音。次有香水海，名：無邊深妙音；世界種，名：無邊方差別。次有香水海，名：堅實積聚；世界種，名：無量處差別。次有香水海，名：清淨梵音；世界種，名：普清淨莊嚴。次有香水海，名：栴檀欄楯音聲藏；世界種，名：逈出幢。次有香水海，名：妙香寶王光莊嚴；世界種，名：普現光明力。」
"Buddha's children! Outside that Base of Vajra Wheel's Adornment fragrant water ocean, there is next a fragrant water ocean named the Place Where Lotus Flowers Are Conjured; its world-seed is named the Land's Own Level Rightness. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Light of Maṇi; its world-seed is named Pervading the Dharma-Realm Without Confusion. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named Every Wondrous Fragrance's Sun-Maṇi; its world-seed is named Universally Manifest in the Ten Directions. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named Forever Receiving the Flow of Jewels; its world-seed is named Universally Practicing the Buddha's Own Speech. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Lapis Lazuli Bamboo's Dense Cloud of Flame; its world-seed is named the Universally Sent-Forth Voice of the Ten Directions. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Gathering of Light and Flame of the Ten Directions; its world-seed is named Forever Sending Forth Transformation, Distributed Through the Ten Directions. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Appearing Banner of True Gold and Maṇi; its world-seed is named the Mark of the Vajra Banner. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named Equal, Great Adornment; its world-seed is named the Dharma-Realm's Valiant Whirl. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Inexhaustible Light of the Cluster of Jeweled Flowers; its world-seed is named Boundless, Pure Light. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Wondrous, Golden Banner; its world-seed is named Proclaiming the Subtle, Secret Place. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named Shadow of Light, Universally Illumining; its world-seed is named Universal Adornment. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Tranquil Voice; its world-seed is named Spreading Out Before One... Such as these, there are fragrant water oceans as numerous as the fine motes of dust in ineffable buddha-lands, and the one nearest the encircling mountain is a fragrant water ocean named the Banner of Dense Cloud of Flame; its world-seed is named the Adornment of Every Light, taking the voice of the assembly at every Tathāgata's awakening-site as its essence. At its very lowest is a world named the Adornment of the Pure Eye. Its buddha is named Vajra Moon Universally Illumining the Ten Directions. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in ten buddha-lands, level with the Vajra Banner world, there is a world named the Lotus Flower's Virtue. Its buddha is named the Excellent Wisdom of Awakening, Great Diligence. Above this, level with the Sahā world, there is a world named the Dense Adornment of Vajra. Its buddha is named the Banner of the King of Sāla Trees. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in seven buddha-lands, there is a world named the Adornment of the Pure Ocean. Its buddha is named Majestic Virtue Beyond Compare, Unable to Be Subdued."

「諸佛子！彼積集寶香藏香水海外，次有香水海，名：一切寶光明遍照；世界種，名：無垢稱莊嚴。次有香水海，名：眾寶華開敷；世界種，名：虛空相。次有香水海，名：吉祥幄遍照；世界種，名：無礙光普莊嚴。次有香水海，名：栴檀樹華；世界種，名：普現十方旋。次有香水海，名：出生妙色寶；世界種，名：勝幢周遍行。次有香水海，名普生金剛華；世界種，名：現不思議莊嚴。次有香水海，名：心王摩尼輪嚴飾；世界種，名：示現無礙佛光明。次有香水海，名：積集寶瓔珞；世界種，名：淨除疑。次有香水海，名：真珠輪普莊嚴；世界種，名：諸佛願所流……。如是等不可說佛剎微塵數香水海，其最近輪圍山香水海，名：閻浮檀寶藏輪；世界種，名：普音幢，以入一切智門音聲為體。此中最下方，有世界，名：華蘂焰；佛號：精進施。此上過十佛剎微塵數世界，與金剛幢世界齊等，有世界，名：蓮華光明幢；佛號：一切功德最勝心王。此上過三佛剎微塵數世界，與娑婆世界齊等，有世界，名：十力莊嚴；佛號：善出現無量功德王。於此世界種最上方，有世界，名：摩尼香山幢；佛號：廣大善眼淨除疑。」

Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Blooming of Every Jeweled Flower; its world-seed is named the Mark of Empty Space. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Auspicious Curtain, Universally Illumining; its world-seed is named the Unobstructed Light's Universal Adornment. Next there is a fragrant water ocean named the Sandalwood Tree's Flower; its world-seed is named the Universal Manifestation, Whirling Through the Ten Directions. Such as these, there are fragrant water oceans as numerous as the fine motes of dust in ineffable buddha-lands, and the one nearest the encircling mountain is a fragrant water ocean named the Wheel of the Treasury of Jambūnada Jewel; its world-seed is named the Banner of Universal Voice, taking the voice of the gateway that enters omniscience as its essence. At its very lowest is a world named the Flame of a Flower's Pistil. Its buddha is named Diligent Giving. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in ten buddha-lands, level with the Vajra Banner world, there is a world named the Banner of the Lotus Flower's Light. Its buddha is named the Supreme Mind-King of Every Merit. Above this, past worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in three buddha-lands, level with the Sahā world, there is a world named the Adornment of the Ten Powers. Its buddha is named the King of Immeasurable Merit, Excellently Appearing. At this world-seed's very topmost point, there is a world named the Banner of the Fragrant Maṇi Mountain. Its buddha is named the Vast, Excellent Eye, Purely Removing Doubt."
The fifth ring's abrupt ending — nine ocean-and-seed names listed, then nothing further, no rim-nearest world-seed, no landmark tiers — is worth flagging rather than silently smoothing over. Every other ring in this fascicle follows the same template through to a full close; this one simply stops. Whether this reflects a loss in textual transmission somewhere across the many centuries and copies between Śikṣānanda's own translation and the Taishō edition, or some other cause, is not for this translation to guess at — the responsible choice is to render exactly what the source gives, gap and all, rather than complete the pattern on the text's behalf.
