Every Article of Sustenance Given, No Reward Sought
After the great formal assemblies of giving, the bodhisattva turns to the plainer work of giving away every article people actually need to live — food, clothing, and every implement of daily life — tailored to each sentient being's own distinct wants, and adorned to be wondrous and fine regardless of the recipient. The ten vows that follow move from that practical generosity outward into the widest possible aspiration: wisdom pervading the whole Dharma-realm, and the bodhisattva practice carried out across every world without exception.
Ordinary Necessities, Given Without Hope of Reward
This passage returns to the register of the very first gift-dedications in this dedication — ordinary articles, tailored to what each sentient being actually uses and asks for — but its vows range far beyond the ordinary, reaching toward wisdom that fills the whole of empty space and a bodhisattva practice that leaves no world, however coarse or fine, however small or vast, untouched.
"Child of the Buddha! The bodhisattva mahāsattva gives away every article for sustaining life, his mind free of covetousness, seeking no reward in return; he holds no hope at all for worldly wealth and pleasure, leaving behind a mind of deluded thought, skillfully reflecting upon the Dharma; wishing to benefit all sentient beings, he carefully contemplates the true nature of every dharma; according to the various differences among sentient beings, each with their own distinct uses and needs, he brings to completion immeasurable articles for sustaining life, every one of their adornments entirely wondrous and fine; he practices boundless giving, practices every kind of giving, giving entirely both what is internal and what is external; as he practices this giving, his strength of aspiration and joy increases, he obtains great merit, and accomplishes the jewel of the mind; he is forever able to protect all sentient beings, causing them all to give rise to a supreme aspiration, never once, from the very start, having any mind that seeks a reward in return; every wholesome root he holds equals that of the buddhas of the three times, all of it perfecting the wisdom of all modes. Child of the Buddha! The bodhisattva mahāsattva, with every wholesome root from this giving, dedicates it to sentient beings: 'May all sentient beings be purely tamed; may all sentient beings extinguish every affliction, adorning and purifying every buddha-land; may all sentient beings, with a pure mind, pervade the Dharma-realm within a single thought; may all sentient beings' wisdom fill the Dharma-realm of empty space; may all sentient beings attain all-wisdom, universally entering the three times to tame sentient beings, forever turning the pure, non-regressing wheel of the Dharma at all times; may all sentient beings possess all-wisdom, skillfully able to manifest spiritual powers and skillful means, benefiting sentient beings; may all sentient beings be entirely able to awaken to and enter the enlightenment of every buddha, and throughout every future eon, within realms in the ten directions, forever expound the true Dharma without any rest, causing sentient beings everywhere to hear and know it; may all sentient beings, throughout immeasurable eons, cultivate the practice of a bodhisattva, and bring it entirely to fulfillment; may all sentient beings, within every world — whether defiled or pure, whether small or great, whether coarse or fine, whether inverted or upright, whether adorned with a single adornment or with every manner of adornment that can be described — throughout worlds as numerous as the very number of worlds, cultivate the practice of a bodhisattva pervading them without exception; may all sentient beings, thought after thought, forever perform the buddha-work of the three times, teaching and transforming sentient beings toward all-wisdom.'"
This dedication skips its usual closing formula — the "this is the bodhisattva's dedication of wholesome roots... so that" line that has ended nearly every gift-item passage so far — and lets the tenth vow itself stand as the close: sentient beings, thought after thought, performing the buddha-work of every age. The vow becomes its own summary.

This closes the section on giving away articles for sustaining life (施資生物) within the sixth dedication. Chapter 25 continues in Part 325 as the bodhisattva mahāsattva provides for whatever all sentient beings need, giving with inexhaustible articles so that the Dharma may continue without interruption.
