Ten Thousand Koṭis of Everything
Twenty clauses in a row, every one of them counted in the same enormous unit — and then the merits, listed by every word the language has for "beyond counting". Then buddhas appear from every direction, and what they do is teach.
Everything, and Then the Merits
The unit does not vary once across twenty items; the effect is of a single act of discernment breaking into every capacity at once.
菩薩如是善知見已，能生起十千億陀羅尼法光明，成就十千億清淨行，獲得十千億諸根，圓滿十千億神通，能入十千億三昧，成就十千億神力，長養十千億諸力，圓滿十千億深心，運動十千億力持，示現十千億神變，具足十千億菩薩無礙，圓滿十千億菩薩助道，積集十千億菩薩藏，照明十千億菩薩方便，演說十千億諸義，成就十千億諸願，出生十千億迴向，淨治十千億菩薩正位，明了十千億法門，開示十千億演說，修治十千億菩薩清淨。
When the bodhisattva knows and sees well in this way, they can give rise to ten thousand koṭis of radiances of the dhāraṇī-dharma; accomplish ten thousand koṭis of pure practices; obtain ten thousand koṭis of faculties; fulfil ten thousand koṭis of spiritual penetrations; enter ten thousand koṭis of samādhis; accomplish ten thousand koṭis of spiritual powers; nourish ten thousand koṭis of powers; fulfil ten thousand koṭis of profound intentions; set in motion ten thousand koṭis of upholdings; display ten thousand koṭis of transformations; be complete in ten thousand koṭis of a bodhisattva's unobstructednesses; fulfil ten thousand koṭis of dharmas that aid a bodhisattva's path; gather ten thousand koṭis of bodhisattva treasuries; illumine ten thousand koṭis of a bodhisattva's skillful means; expound ten thousand koṭis of meanings; accomplish ten thousand koṭis of vows; produce ten thousand koṭis of dedications; purify ten thousand koṭis of a bodhisattva's right stations; comprehend ten thousand koṭis of dharma-gateways; reveal ten thousand koṭis of expositions; and cultivate ten thousand koṭis of a bodhisattva's purifications.
「佛子！此菩薩摩訶薩復有無數功德、無量功德、無邊功德、無等功德、不可數功德、不可稱功德、不可思功德、不可量功德、不可說功德、無盡功德。佛子！此菩薩於如是功德，皆已辦具，皆已積集，皆已莊嚴，皆已清淨，皆已瑩徹，皆已攝受，皆能出生，皆可稱歎，皆得堅固，皆已成就。
"Child of the Buddha! This bodhisattva mahāsattva has further numberless merits, measureless merits, boundless merits, merits without equal, merits that cannot be counted, merits that cannot be reckoned, merits that cannot be conceived, merits that cannot be measured, merits that cannot be spoken, and inexhaustible merits. Child of the Buddha! Of such merits this bodhisattva has already provided them all, gathered them all, adorned them all, purified them all, made them all lucid, taken them all up, brought them all forth, made them all worthy of praise, made them all firm, and accomplished them all.
皆已瑩徹 — made them all lucid. 瑩 is the polishing of a gem until it is clear through. Among nine verbs of gathering and accomplishing, this one is about transparency rather than quantity, and it is the only one that describes a quality rather than a possession.
The Buddhas Appear and Teach
Buddhas by the dust-motes of ten thousand asaṃkhyeyas of lands, in every direction; and what they do occupies almost thirty verbs, all of them about instruction.
「佛子！菩薩摩訶薩住此三昧，為東方十千阿僧祇佛剎微塵數名號諸佛之所攝受，一一名號復有十千阿僧祇佛剎微塵數佛，各各差別；如東方，南、西、北方，四維、上、下，亦復如是。彼諸佛悉現其前，為現諸佛清淨剎，為說諸佛無量身，為說諸佛難思眼，為說諸佛無量耳，為說諸佛清淨鼻，為說諸佛清淨舌，為說諸佛無住心，為說如來無上神通，令修如來無上菩提，令得如來清淨音聲，開示如來不退法輪，顯示如來無邊眾會，令入如來無邊祕密，讚歎如來一切善根。
"Child of the Buddha! A bodhisattva mahāsattva abiding in this samādhi is taken up by buddhas of the east bearing names as numerous as the dust-motes of ten thousand asaṃkhyeyas of buddha-lands; and under each single name there are again buddhas as numerous as the dust-motes of ten thousand asaṃkhyeyas of buddha-lands, each differing from the others; and as with the east, so with the south, the west, the north, the four intermediate directions, above and below. Those buddhas all appear before them: they display for them the buddhas' pure lands; expound for them the buddhas' measureless bodies; expound the buddhas' eyes that are hard to conceive; expound the buddhas' measureless ears; expound the buddhas' pure noses; expound the buddhas' pure tongues; expound the buddhas' minds that abide nowhere; expound the Tathāgata's unsurpassed spiritual penetration; cause them to cultivate the Tathāgata's unsurpassed awakening; cause them to obtain the Tathāgata's pure voice; reveal the Tathāgata's non-regressing Dharma-wheel; make manifest the Tathāgata's boundless assemblies; cause them to enter the Tathāgata's boundless secrets; and praise all the Tathāgata's wholesome roots.
令入如來平等之法，宣說如來三世種性，示現如來無量色相，闡揚如來護念之法，演暢如來微妙法音，辯明一切諸佛世界，宣揚一切諸佛三昧，示現諸佛眾會次第，護持諸佛不思議法，說一切法猶如幻化，明諸法性無有動轉，開示一切無上法輪，讚美如來無量功德，令入一切諸三昧雲，令知其心如幻如化、無邊無盡。
They cause them to enter the Tathāgata's dharma of sameness; proclaim the Tathāgata's lineage throughout the three times; display the Tathāgata's measureless colours and marks; set forth the Tathāgata's dharma of being held in mind; pour out the Tathāgata's subtle and wondrous Dharma-sound; make clear all the buddhas' worlds; proclaim all the buddhas' samādhis; display the sequence of the buddhas' assemblies; guard and uphold the buddhas' inconceivable dharma; declare that all dharmas are like a conjuring; make plain that the nature of dharmas does not shift or move; reveal every unsurpassed Dharma-wheel; praise the Tathāgata's measureless merits; cause them to enter all the clouds of samādhi; and cause them to know that their own mind is like a conjuring and a transformation, boundless and inexhaustible.
為說諸佛清淨鼻，為說諸佛清淨舌 — they expound the buddhas' pure noses, expound the buddhas' pure tongues. The six sense-faculties of a buddha are taught one by one, in the ordinary order, including the two that no scripture usually dwells on. This is the ninth samādhi's own subject returned: it was entered in the eye and the ear, and what the buddhas teach in it is eyes and ears.
令知其心如幻如化、無邊無盡 — cause them to know that their own mind is like a conjuring and a transformation, boundless and inexhaustible. Twenty-nine things the buddhas do, and the last of them is about the listener's own mind. Everything expounded before it was about buddhas; the teaching ends by turning the pupil back on themselves.

This continues chapter twenty-seven, 十定品, The Ten Concentrations, in fascicle forty-two. Part 522 gives what those buddhas of the ten directions hold this bodhisattva in mind for — a boundless body, an unobstructed mind, unforgetting recollection, keen faculties, and the power to display the accomplishing of buddhahood in every world — and then the ten oceans this samādhi obtains.
