The Cascade from a Single Pore
Seventeen steps, each producing the next in the same enormous number: light, jewels, towers, thrones, radiance, colour, wheels, flowers, daises, buddhas, transformations, assemblies, sovereign freedoms, dharmas, sūtras, gateways, wheels of Dharma — and at the end of it, people who have been tamed.
Light, Jewels, Canopies
It begins in the body — one pore at a time — and the first thing produced is not a vision but a jewel with a name.
一切諸佛神力所加，令菩薩身一一毛孔各出百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數光明，一一光明現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數摩尼寶，其寶皆名：普光明藏，種種色相以為莊嚴，無量功德之所成就，眾寶及華以為羅網彌覆其上，散百千億那由他殊勝妙香，無量色相種種莊嚴，復現不思議寶莊嚴蓋以覆其上。
Supported by the spiritual power of all the buddhas, from each single pore of the bodhisattva's body there issue lights as numerous as the dust-motes of a hundred thousand koṭis of nayutas of ineffably many buddha-lands; and each single light displays maṇi jewels as numerous as the dust-motes of a hundred thousand koṭis of nayutas of ineffably many buddha-lands, all of those jewels named Treasury of Universal Light, adorned with colours and forms of every kind and accomplished by measureless merit; and jewels and flowers together form a net that covers them over; a hundred thousand koṭis of nayutas of surpassing and exquisite fragrances are scattered; measureless colours and forms adorn them in every way; and an inconceivable jewel-adorned canopy appears again and covers all of it.
普光明藏 — Treasury of Universal Light. The jewels are all given the same name, which is also the name of the hall in which this whole chapter is being spoken — 普光明殿, the Hall of Universal Light in Magadha, from Part 490. The setting has reappeared inside the vision.
Each One Producing the Next
The chain runs without a break in its grammar, and the last three links change register entirely: from things to scriptures, from scriptures to teachings given in differing words, and from those to beings.
一一摩尼寶悉現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數樓閣；一一樓閣現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數蓮華藏師子之座；一一師子座現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數光明；一一光明現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數色相；一一色相現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數光明輪；一一光明輪現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數毘盧遮那摩尼寶華；一一華現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數臺；一一臺現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數佛。
Each single maṇi jewel displays towers as numerous as the dust-motes of a hundred thousand koṭis of nayutas of ineffably many buddha-lands; each single tower displays lion-thrones of the lotus-treasury as numerous as those dust-motes; each single lion-throne displays lights as numerous as those dust-motes; each single light displays colours and forms as numerous as those dust-motes; each single colour and form displays wheels of radiance as numerous as those dust-motes; each single wheel of radiance displays Vairocana maṇi jewel-flowers as numerous as those dust-motes; each single flower displays daises as numerous as those dust-motes; and each single dais displays buddhas as numerous as those dust-motes.
一一佛現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數神變；一一神變淨百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數眾生眾；一一眾生眾中現百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數諸佛自在；一一自在雨百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數佛法；一一佛法有百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數修多羅；一一修多羅說百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數法門；一一法門有百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數金剛智所入法輪，差別言辭各別演說；一一法輪成熟百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數眾生界；一一眾生界有百萬億那由他不可說佛剎微塵數眾生，於佛法中而得調伏。
Each single buddha displays transformations as numerous as those dust-motes; each single transformation purifies multitudes of beings as numerous as those dust-motes; within each single multitude of beings there appear buddhas' sovereign freedoms as numerous as those dust-motes; each single sovereign freedom rains down buddha-dharmas as numerous as those dust-motes; each single buddha-dharma has sūtras as numerous as those dust-motes; each single sūtra expounds dharma-gateways as numerous as those dust-motes; each single dharma-gateway has Dharma-wheels entered by vajra wisdom as numerous as those dust-motes, each expounded in its own differing words; each single Dharma-wheel ripens realms of beings as numerous as those dust-motes; and each single realm of beings has beings as numerous as those dust-motes, who within the buddhas' Dharma are tamed.
差別言辭各別演說 — each expounded in its own differing words. Inserted into the middle of the cascade, where the chain reaches Dharma-wheels. However many they are, they are not one message repeated: each is put into words fitted to whom it is for, which is the ninth ground's work carried into the tenth samādhi.
於佛法中而得調伏 — who within the buddhas' Dharma are tamed. Seventeen links of jewels and towers and buddhas, and the chain terminates in an ordinary verb about people. Nothing further is produced by the tamed beings; they are what all of it was for.

This continues chapter twenty-seven, 十定品, The Ten Concentrations, in fascicle forty-three. Part 532 continues the tenth samādhi as the display goes on without exhausting the bodhisattva's power, and moves toward the close of the ten great concentrations.
