A Heart Set Like a Great Mountain
Freedom from attachment, mastery of every liberation, wandering as freely as through a garden grove, and a palace built from pure dharma all lead toward the verse's own closing image of stability: a resolve set as firmly as a great mountain, and virtue planted as deep as the ocean.
Bonds Left Behind, a Garden Entered Freely
Liberation here is not described as an escape from the world but as free movement within it: every bond and entanglement forever left behind, and what remains is wandering at will as though through a garden grove — the same world that once confined now entered and moved through freely, at leisure.
遠離於諸著，演說心平等，
出生於智慧，變化得菩提。
住持一切劫，智者大欣慰，
深入及依止，無畏無疑惑。
了達不思議，巧密善分別，
善入諸三昧，普見智境界。
究竟諸解脫，遊戲諸通明，
纏縛悉永離，園林恣遊處。
"Forever free of every attachment, expounding the equality of mind; bringing forth wisdom, and through transformation attaining awakening.
Sustaining and upholding every kalpa, the wise one is greatly comforted and gladdened; penetrating deeply into it and relying upon it, with no fear and no doubt at all.
Fully understanding the inconceivable, skillfully and subtly discerning it well; skillfully entering every samādhi, universally seeing the domain of wisdom.
Ultimately mastering every liberation, playing freely within every superknowledge and clarity; forever free of every bond and entanglement, wandering at will as though through a garden grove.
白法為宮殿，諸行可欣樂，
現無量莊嚴，於世心無動。
深心善觀察，妙辯能開演，
清淨菩提印，智光照一切。
所住無等比，其心不下劣，
立志如大山，種德若深海。
Pure, wholesome dharma is his own palace, every practice something to delight in; manifesting measureless adornment, his mind unmoved within the world.
With a deep mind he observes well, and his wondrous eloquence is able to open up and expound; the pure seal of awakening, the light of wisdom illuminating everything.
Where he dwells has nothing equal to compare it to, his mind never inferior or base; his resolve is set as firmly as a great mountain, and his planted virtue is as deep as the ocean.
纏縛悉永離，園林恣遊處 — forever free of every bond and entanglement, wandering at will as though through a garden grove. Liberation is imagined here not as leaving the world behind but as a change in how the same world is inhabited: what confined as a bond is entered, once freed, the way one wanders a garden — at leisure, and by choice.

This continues chapter thirty-eight, 離世間品, in fascicle fifty-nine. Part 822 continues the verse, moving from a bodhisattva armored in vow like a warrior prepared for battle to a body built entirely from the factors of the path — hands and feet, eyes and ears, each one a different aspect of practice.
