The Named Samādhis Conclude

The final twenty-six names in this list of one hundred and one samādhis close on the very samādhi this entire chapter began with — the Lion's Stretching-Forth — before the bodhisattvas who hold all of them enter directly into Vairocana's own boundless ocean of spiritual transformation.

Ending Where It Began

Every name in this list has been distinct, yet the very last one is not new at all: it is the Lion's Stretching-Forth Samādhi itself, the same samādhi the Buddha entered near the start of this chapter, now closing the list of one hundred and one exactly where the whole sequence first opened.

觀察一切如來解脫處師子頻申三昧 — the Samādhi of Observing Every Tathāgata's Own Place of Liberation, the Lion's Stretching-Forth. Of one hundred and one names, this final one alone reaches back to the very samādhi that opened this entire sequence, many parts ago, when the Buddha first entered it and the great pavilion began to transform — the list closing the exact circle it began.

Part 875 Complete

This continues chapter thirty-nine, 入法界品, in fascicle sixty-one. Part 876 turns to the extraordinary qualities of the bodhisattvas who hold all of these samādhis at once, described in a long, unbroken passage of their own accomplishments.
