Ten Buddhas in Ten Directions
Rising from his samādhi, Liberation names his own vision precisely: ten specific worlds, ten specific buddhas, and ten specific bodhisattvas leading their assemblies — one for each of the eight compass directions plus above and below, each land and each name entirely distinct from the rest.
A Precise Accounting, Not a Blur
Rather than describe his vision in general terms, Liberation names it with exact specificity: a world, a buddha, and a foremost bodhisattva for each direction, in order — east, south, west, north, and the four intermediate points, then above and below.
爾時，解脫長者從三昧起，告善財童子言：「善男子！我已入出如來無礙莊嚴解脫門。「善男子！我入出此解脫門時，即見東方閻浮檀金光明世界，龍自在王如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，毘盧遮那藏菩薩而為上首；又見南方速疾力世界，普香如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，心王菩薩而為上首；又見西方香光世界，須彌燈王如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，無礙心菩薩而為上首；又見北方袈裟幢世界，不可壞金剛如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，金剛步勇猛菩薩而為上首；又見東北方一切上妙寶世界，無所得境界眼如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，無所得善變化菩薩而為上首；又見東南方香焰光音世界，香燈如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，金剛焰慧菩薩而為上首；又見西南方智慧日普光明世界，法界輪幢如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，現一切變化幢菩薩而為上首；又見西北方普清淨世界，一切佛寶高勝幢如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，法幢王菩薩而為上首；又見上方佛次第出現無盡世界，無邊智慧光圓滿幢如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，法界門幢王菩薩而為上首；又見下方佛光明世界，無礙智幢如來、應、正等覺，道場眾會之所圍遶，一切世間剎幢王菩薩而為上首。
At that time, the elder Liberation rose from his own samādhi, and said to the boy Good-Wealth: "Good son! I have already entered into and emerged from the tathāgata's own gate of unobstructed adornment liberation. Good son! When I enter into and emerge from this gate of liberation, I see, in the eastern direction, the world of Jambūnada Gold Light, the tathāgata Nāga-Sovereign King, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Vairocana-Treasury foremost among them; and I see, in the southern direction, the world of Swift Power, the tathāgata Universal Fragrance, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Mind-King foremost among them; and I see, in the western direction, the world of Fragrant Light, the tathāgata Sumeru Lamp-King, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Unobstructed Mind foremost among them; and I see, in the northern direction, the world of Kāṣāya Banner, the tathāgata Indestructible Vajra, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Valiant Vajra-Stride foremost among them; and I see, in the northeastern direction, the world of Every Excellent, Wondrous Jewel, the tathāgata Eye of the Unattainable Domain, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Good Transformation of the Unattainable foremost among them; and I see, in the southeastern direction, the world of Fragrant Flame Light and Sound, the tathāgata Fragrant Lamp, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Vajra-Flame Wisdom foremost among them; and I see, in the southwestern direction, the world of the Sun of Wisdom's Universal Light, the tathāgata Dharma-Realm Wheel-Banner, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Banner Manifesting Every Transformation foremost among them; and I see, in the northwestern direction, the world of Universal Purity, the tathāgata Lofty and Supreme Banner of Every Buddha's Own Jewel, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Dharma-Banner King foremost among them; and I see, in the upward direction, the world of Buddhas Appearing One After Another Without End, the tathāgata Perfect and Complete Banner of Boundless Wisdom's Light, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva Dharma-Realm Gate Banner-King foremost among them; and I see, in the downward direction, the world of Buddha-Light, the tathāgata Unobstructed Wisdom Banner, Worthy One, Truly and Rightly Awakened One, surrounded by the assembly at his own site of awakening, with the bodhisattva King of the Banner of Every World-Land foremost among them.
又見東北方……又見東南方……又見西南方……又見西北方 — and I see, in the northeastern direction … and I see, in the southeastern direction … and I see, in the southwestern direction … and I see, in the northwestern direction. Beyond the four cardinal directions, Liberation's vision extends to the four intermediate points as well — a full compass of ten distinct worlds, none of them repeating a single name or feature.

This continues chapter thirty-nine, 入法界品, in fascicle sixty-three. Part 926 turns to Liberation's own count of these visions — buddhas as numerous as motes of dust in each of the ten directions — and to his striking claim that not one of them actually travels to him, nor does he travel to any of them.
