Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas Attain Their Fruit
Endowed's own food does more than satisfy hunger — every śrāvaka and pratyekabuddha across worlds beyond counting who eats it attains their own final fruition on the spot, and every bodhisattva bound to only one more life who eats it sits beneath the bodhi tree that very moment and becomes a buddha.
Final Fruition, Across Every Direction
What Endowed's food actually accomplishes now comes into focus — not simply nourishment, but the completion of an entire spiritual path, scaling from a single eastern world up through worlds beyond counting, in every one of the ten directions at once.
「又，善男子！假使東方一世界中，聲聞、獨覺食我食已，皆證聲聞、辟支佛果，住最後身；如一世界中，如是百世界、千世界、百千世界、億世界、百億世界、千億世界、百千億世界、百千億那由他世界、閻浮提微塵數世界、一四天下微塵數世界、小千國土微塵數世界、中千國土微塵數世界、三千大千國土微塵數世界，乃至不可說不可說佛剎微塵數世界中，所有一切聲聞、獨覺食我食已，皆證聲聞、辟支佛果，住最後身。如於東方，南、西、北方，四維、上、下，亦復如是。
"Moreover, good son, suppose that in a single world to the east, śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, having eaten my food, all attained the fruit of the śrāvaka and the pratyekabuddha, abiding in their final body; just as in a single world, so too in a hundred worlds, a thousand worlds, a hundred thousand worlds, a hundred million worlds, ten billion worlds, a hundred billion worlds, a hundred thousand koṭi worlds, a hundred thousand koṭis of nayutas of worlds, worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in Jambudvīpa, worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a single set of four continents, worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in a small-thousand land, a medium-thousand land, a great trichiliocosm, even up to worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in the Unspeakably Unspeakable buddha-lands, every śrāvaka and pratyekabuddha there, having eaten my food, all attained the fruit of the śrāvaka and the pratyekabuddha, abiding in their final body. Just as in the east, so too in the south, west, north, the four intermediate directions, above and below.
One More Life, Then Buddhahood That Very Moment
The claim escalates once more — bodhisattvas who need only one more life before buddhahood, upon eating this same food, sit beneath the bodhi tree, subdue Māra's own armies, and accomplish unsurpassed awakening immediately, across every direction at once.
「又，善男子！東方一世界，乃至不可說不可說佛剎微塵數世界中，所有一生所繫菩薩食我食已，皆菩提樹下坐於道場，降伏魔軍，成阿耨多羅三藐三菩提；如東方，南、西、北方，四維、上、下，亦復如是。
"Moreover, good son, in a single world to the east, even up to worlds as numerous as the fine motes of dust in the Unspeakably Unspeakable buddha-lands, every bodhisattva bound to one more life, having eaten my food, all sat beneath the bodhi tree upon the platform of awakening, subdued the armies of Māra, and accomplished anuttara-samyak-sambodhi; just as in the east, so too in the south, west, north, the four intermediate directions, above and below.
皆菩提樹下坐於道場，降伏魔軍，成阿耨多羅三藐三菩提 — all sat beneath the bodhi tree upon the platform of awakening, subdued the armies of Māra, and accomplished unsurpassed awakening. A single meal is now credited with completing the very last stage of the bodhisattva path — the same climactic sequence traditionally reserved for Śākyamuni's own night beneath the tree, here granted to countless bodhisattvas across countless worlds at once.
