In Verse, the Conduct of Samantabhadra
The hymn closes: a light of Dharma cultivated across every kalpa yet to come, the sun of wisdom rising in the world, and sentient beings caught in the circling flow of birth-and-death met by the pure Dharma-wheel turned for their sake — this is named the very conduct of Samantabhadra. A boundless wisdom-body then closes the hymn, manifesting throughout every destiny to bring every being to the buddha's own bodhi.
Five Stanzas: The Sun of Wisdom, the Conduct of Samantabhadra
「一念皆能詣， 十方剎海佛，
聞法分別知， 是為隨順行。
見佛眷屬海， 究竟三昧海，
滿足諸大願， 是因陀網行。
未來劫修行， 諸佛所護念，
普照諸世界， 是為法光行。
大悲見眾生， 智日出世間，
法光除癡闇， 是為智日行。
見諸趣眾生， 迴流生死中，
為轉淨法輪， 是為普賢行。」
"Within a single thought-moment, he is able to go to the buddhas of the ocean of lands of the ten directions, hearing the Dharma and discerning it fully — this is the conduct of according with.
Beholding the ocean of every buddha's own retinue, reaching the very end of the ocean of samādhi, fulfilling every great vow — this is the conduct of Indra's Net.
Cultivating throughout every kalpa yet to come, held in the mindful protection of every buddha, universally illumining every world — this is the conduct of the Dharma's own light.
With great compassion beholding sentient beings, the sun of wisdom arising in the world, the light of the Dharma extinguishing the darkness of delusion — this is the conduct of the sun of wisdom.
Beholding sentient beings of every destiny, circling and flowing amid birth-and-death, turning the pure Dharma-wheel for their sake — this is the conduct of Samantabhadra."
These five stanzas complete the hymn's own naming pattern — according-with, Indra's Net (named twice across the whole hymn), the Dharma's own light, the sun of wisdom, and, finally, the conduct of Samantabhadra himself. The progression moves outward from the bodhisattva's own inner state (samādhi, mindful protection) to direct contact with suffering beings "circling and flowing amid birth-and-death" — closing this run of named conducts on the same figure this collection has repeatedly found hidden at the root of its own teachers' stories.
A Final Stanza: A Boundless Wisdom-Body
「智慧身無量， 隨應而示現，
普於一切趣， 度脫諸群生，
發起大慈悲， 普覆於一切，
遍照諸群生， 令得佛菩提。」
"His wisdom-body boundless, manifesting according to what is fitting, universally, throughout every destiny, delivering and liberating the sprouting multitudes; raising great loving-kindness and compassion, universally covering all, illumining the sprouting multitudes everywhere, causing them to attain the buddha's own bodhi."
This final block of the hymn runs to eight lines rather than four — the same irregular stanza length this collection has now met three times across this teacher's own verses, likely counted by Fazang as two stanzas rather than one, matching the pattern already confirmed in teacher 39's own hymns. Unlike every stanza before it, it names no single "conduct" of its own; it instead gathers every image the hymn has offered — light, sun, ocean, wheel — into one final, unnamed body, boundless and manifesting everywhere at once, as if the naming itself were no longer needed once the whole picture stands complete.
