Confirmed by direct reading, this file's own closing line states plainly that the Sammappadhānasaṁyutta is “the fifth” — a book-level closing marker, ending this saṃyutta's own 54-discourse span (SN 49.1 through SN 49.54) begun at this project's own earlier work on SN 49.1.
The five higher fetters, once more
Mirroring SN 48.115-124 and SN 48.169-178's own higher-fetters discourse almost word for word, this discourse gives the five higher fetters (desire for the form and formless realms, conceit, restlessness, ignorance) in full, now developed by the four right efforts rather than the five faculties.
A count that matches, unlike SN 48's own final discrepancy
This project's own explicit observation: this file's own vagga-level colophon, “Oghavaggo pañcamo” (“the Floods chapter, the fifth”), matches this project's own direct tracking of five vaggas across SN 49.1-54 exactly — unlike SN 48's own final discourse, whose own colophon read “the seventeenth” against a tracked count of fifteen, a genuine discrepancy reported there without resolution.

§1“Mendicants, there are five higher fetters. What five? Desire for rebirth in the realm of luminous form, desire for rebirth in the formless realm, conceit, restlessness, and ignorance. These are the five higher fetters. The four right efforts should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these five higher fetters. What four? It’s when a mendicant generates enthusiasm, tries, makes an effort, exerts the mind, and strives so that bad, unskillful qualities don’t arise. … so that skillful qualities that have arisen remain, are not lost, but increase, mature, and are completed by development. These four right efforts should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these five higher fetters.”
