Playing Freely in Every Samādhi
The reflection continues: one who knows every path as neither emerging nor not emerging; who abides in the profound perfection of wisdom; whose skillful means fills the universal-gate dharma-realm; who is quiescent amid every affliction; whose wisdom severs view, craving, and pride; and who plays freely in every dhyāna, liberation, samādhi, and spiritual power.

「……知一切道，非出、非不出者；住一切甚深大智度者；方便充滿普門法界者；寂滅一切眾煩惱者；智慧斷除見愛慢者；一切禪定解脫三昧神通遊戲者；修一切菩薩三昧境界者；安住一切如來所者；以一劫為一切劫，以一切劫為一劫者；……」

"Neither emerging nor not emerging" describes the bodhisattva's own relationship to saṃsāra with the same careful double-negation this collection has used before for dedication and for existence itself — neither trapped within the world nor simply departed from it. Fazang reads the final item here, "a single kalpa as every kalpa, and every kalpa as a single kalpa," as opening a new sub-sequence within this whole reflection: a set of paired equivalences (one-and-all) that will continue through the parts immediately following, extending the same principle to lands, dharmas, beings, and buddhas in turn.
